Went to visit our home after meeting with one of our wedding vendors last Sunday even though we were damn lethargic already but we gotta do what we gotta do. And for us to wait 2 weeks for our kitchen to be up, it was the first thing we checked and lo and behold!
The doors were up! So naiceee :) There is ample space between my sink and hob for my cut-ups and also more space to the left of my hob for more cut-ups LOL! Can't wait for my hob, countertop and backsplash to be up.
My tall unit was covered up also except for the microwave oven spot for our microwave oven :P And look you guysss...
I can haz a pull-out pantry ala Rachael Ray's!
I would prefer Rachael's pull out because it's full length, unlike mine which is half only. I wanted a full length one but the contractor argued "you can reach meh?" KNN, my house or your house? But izz okay, I wont let that affect me cos I already have a (half) pull out pantry :D The issue now is, to solve the sliding mechanism. I think the carpenter screwed it so tightly that it doesn't slide as smoothly as I want it to be. When I try to slide it out, the door bent slightly :O So scary, imagine prolong sliding? The door might break in no time. Need some engineering works. This weekend, I shall let my brother and father have their input on it.
1) my hood and the empty space is for my hob (obviously)
2) my convection oven
3) my door-less dishrack. we wanted a door-less one cos we find those with flip-up door very unappealing. to us la, but to each its own.
4) my Blanco Naya 9 sink.
ever since I saw this at HK, I never look at others. (I was the one who noticed the sink is up before my countertop and told my fiance that I had wanted a top mount sink. He told me that he informed the contractor already but somehow it got messed up. So I took the matter into my own hands and contacted the contractor myself.)
Actually not ok la, cos we told him beforehand what that we wanted top mount but we just kept calm la. No use being angry. Our budget is minimal, what if they anyhow do?
Moving on, besides our kitchen, I am happy to report that our master wardrobe is also up! But kan, I think the carpenter is confused with our colours la and I will explain why. But first, my wardrobe ladies and gentlemen LOL!
Nice or not? :)
We actually wanted the darker colour to be the primary colour and the grey to be secondary. But the carpenter memandai-mandai and swapped them pulak. Can it be undone? If cannot, its ok la kan. The grey blended well with the lighter grey on my wall anyway (but this wasn't the arrangement that we wanted LOL! still bitter)
Till the next update!
