Remember this post where I was debating in my head on which mixer to choose, The (mighty) KitchenAid or The kMix? I had to make up my mind fast cos my brother wanted to settle it once and for all, no more procrastinating! Or maybe he scared our parents' house no kuih-kuih later for Hari Raya LOL!
Actually it was not a huge debate to begin with. I had my sights on KitchenAid for a long time already but the kMix made an appearance last year so I was just weighing the pros and cons. I knew for a fact that I wanted the KitchenAid, I was just wasting time la.
Without further ado, my bro dragged mama and I to Hoe Kee at Tanjong Katong Complex on Monday cos they carry KitchenAid products and also, we were hoping we could get a good price la since mama was an ex-employee there.
Fact: Yan and I bought most of our home stuff there and we got good prices :)
Can I have them all?
There were so many colours to choose from and I admit, I have not made up my mind yet but I quickly did and called the salesperson to attend to us. One of the salesperson recognised mama and approached her and told the SP who was attending to us to give us special price cos "this one my friend!" LOL! thank you la aunty. Back then, the laoban was the one who gave us good price.
Unfortunately, the colour I wanted was not available in store to cash and carry so they had to order and we, to pick up in 3 days time. Thursday was the day to pick up and I excitedly rushed down to HK after work. Checked for scratches and whether all items are in the box, brother paid for it and finally, I can haz my very own KitchenAid!
Brother had to help me carry the heavy box as my husband was still as work. Kesian eh, da belikan, kene angkatkan lagi hahahahahah! After that, together with ayah and mama, we went to ECP for dinner.
We ordered the usuals; Chicken Wings, Satay, Ikan Bakar and Kangkong Belacan. After dinner, they all wanted to drop by my place for the unboxing -__- Macam la grand sangat the unveiling of the KitchenAid hahahaha!
So what colour did I choose in the end?
The Pink one!
To be honest, I was torn between the pink and green cos green IS my first favourite colour but somehow I chose pink in the end.
In Shaa Allah, this piece of machine will not collect dust in my kitchen cabinet. To more baking in future!
