A can of sardines can be boring unless you jazz it up a bit for your meal times!
In our household (as in mama and mine), we like to blend some garlic cloves and a few chilli padis and fry the paste until fragrant (or pecah minyak in malay terms) before mixing in the sardines together with the sauce. Yeap, everything from the can into the frying pan. No wastage at all. Rinse the tin with a bit of water and pour into the pan to make it saucier. We also add in some button mushrooms too cos we like it like that.
You can cater to what you like. Add a bit more chilli padis to make it spicier or a little bit less to make it less spicy. It is all up to you.
