We had appointments with the building service centre people and an interior designer recommended by a secondary schoolmate who is currently our next block neighbour on Saturday and with a contractor recommended by Yan’s good friend on Sunday.
I arrived a few minutes late (S.BS should deploy buses from my parents house to my new house seh. alaaa 1 strait bus aje takkan tak boleh LOL! Currently, I need to change bus at the interchange or just walk lo from interchange) and the ID was already at TG. He said “I always very early one”, that is a plus point and he is always by his phone so he will not miss queries from clients.
Yan was already in our unit with a Bhaiyya from the SC and checking the defects together. ID came around 15mins later to look see look see our layout and he found some more defects that we missed -_____- The main and MBR doors we chipped and our showers were shaky. We overlooked on these as we were busy with cracks and dents. Anyways, he said he will check for more defects in depth if we decided to take him as our ID.
We then proceed to my friend’s unit together with my parents and aban. I was impressed, ok la all of us were impressed with the ID’s workmanship on the unit. I particularly like the kitchen because there were still space for us to move around comfortably and not cramped at all even though they opted for 2 side cabinets. At first I felt that 2 side cabinets can be a bit sempit as what we experienced over at one of my breastie’s unit. Her kitchen is very cramped with cabinets on both sides. Now that we have seen cabinets on both sides of kitchen in my friend’s unit, we decided to do up on both sides YAY! :)
Also, initially, we thought of hacking half of our kitchen wall, konon nak buat macam counter gitu and to open up our kitchen and give it a little bit more light. Our friend on the other hand just left the wall like that without hacking. Summore, to hack the wall, we need to obtain a permit from this company and that company and we find that it to be very leceh so we decided to not do anythin to the wall. Hahahah so fickle sia!
After that, we set an appointment with the ID to be on Vesak Day and he will do up a quotation for us to discuss before we take the plunge.
On Sunday, Yan met up with the contractor with his friend as I was out with my family for mother’s day. Yan told me that the contractor nak start doing our unit immediately! O.O! LOL! so enthu sia. Good good, at least we know he is reliable. Yan also updated me that the contractor will put up a quotation based on our basic needs first and will email him that very night.
